Overview
Blindspot is a browser-based English learning tool that runs AI analysis on user-written text, identifies grammatical errors, and explains the rule behind each correction. Instead of delivering generic rewrites, it aggregates recurring mistakes into personalized grammar drills and vocabulary flashcards. The product targets intermediate learners who want feedback tied to their own writing rather than canned lesson content.
Core Capabilities
- Writing checker — accepts 30–300 characters from the public landing form and up to 5,000 characters inside a signed-in account, returning corrections plus a short explanation of why each change is required.
- Vocabulary builder — surfaces suggested words with definitions, part-of-speech breakdowns, collocations, synonyms, and flashcards; learners decide which entries enter their personal dictionary.
- Grammar practice — groups errors by shared topic (for example, base verb form after "didn't") and generates multiple-choice questions from them.
- Chrome extension — checks writing and saves selected words directly on any browsed page.
Technical Notes
Submitted text is sent to OpenAI for analysis and stored with the result in the user's account, while drafts stay in the browser tab until submission. Authentication runs through Google sign-in, no payment card is required for the free tier, and the interface ships in English and Russian.
