Overview
MindHits hosts 15 psychometric assessments — 436 items in total — assembled from public-domain instruments: IPIP-50 Big Five, Mini-IPIP, IPIP-NEO-120, SD3 Dark Triad, Rosenberg Self-Esteem, WHO-5, GAD-7, Perceived Stress and the O*NET RIASEC interest profiler. Every test scores locally in the browser, spanning two-minute screeners through the twenty-minute, 30-facet NEO. No registration gate precedes any of them.
Sourcing and verification
Each item set cites its instrument, authors, licence and the page the questions were drawn from, and the published scoring key sits beside the result. Reverse-keyed items are flipped according to that key rather than by assumption. An automated suite exercises scoring, direction handling and skipped-question behaviour, and asserts the IPIP-NEO renders exactly 30 facets of four items each.
Data handling
- Answers are scored and persisted client-side; nothing is transmitted.
- No account, email field or server-side record of responses exists.
- The only external call is a cookieless page-view counter.
- Trade-off: clearing site data or switching devices discards earlier results permanently.
Interpretation limits
Results report raw totals and scale ranges rather than population percentiles — the operator states no normative sample is held, so no percentile claims appear. Literature cut-offs such as 15 on the Rosenberg scale or 29 on the WHO-5 are cited explicitly, and the wellbeing instruments are positioned as screening questionnaires, not diagnoses.
